GOING GREEN!

Runners High is trying to GO GREEN. 

Did you know Nike is sending all shipments with "Reuse, we do" on the large shipment boxes?  Runners High then recycles these boxes for other shipments.

Sole Custom Foot beds is now using ecopac packaging.  Their old package was mad of PET plastic.  The new Ecopac packaging is made with PLA.  This is a reduction of 25 MJ per kilogram. 

Runners High also donates old running shoes to the re use a shoe program!

RUN-TO-THE-TOP

This is a great "throw back" run!

Appro. 8 mile run with a 4,000 ft. elevation gain, beginning near 6,000 ft. elevation.  The first 1/4 mile is paved roadway followed by 5 miles of steep narrow dirt roadway.  The next mile, a narrow "catwalk" trail hugs the mountain side.  The final mile, the steepest, is above the timberline!  The finish line is atop beautiful Mt. San Antonio (Mt. Baldy) at 10,064 feet.  Walk back from the summit to Notch Restaurant.

THE LONG BEACH MARATHON HAS SLIGHTLY CHANGED ITS COURSE!

There are some great things happening with the Long Beach Marathon course this year.  According to sources in the LB Marathon office, there is going to be lots of spectators, noise, music, and more support than ever on the new part of the LB Marathon course.  The course will run through the campus at CSULB where many of the CSULB staff and students will turn out to cheer on the runners.

This could be the best year yet for the LB Marathon!
